Omnetics have announced a new and improved Nano D latch design. This latch design will become the standard product for this series of Bi-Lobe connectors which can be mated or unmated without the use of a screwdriver.
The new latch incorporates finger grips to assist field operation whether the user is wearing bulky gloves or no gloves at all. The new latch is also now made form stainless steel instead of aluminium. Both styles of latches exceed 50 pounds of pull force.
Omnetics’ intention is to convert their standard latch product into this enhanced version wherever the latch is currently used on a connector and on any new designs for the product. The original style of latch may be available upon request.
